Troy frequently travels down to Fort Lauderdale to visit his long time high school buddies, Johnson and Bao.  Johnson was dating Christina at the time.  During one visit back in 1999, he met, Yi, a mutual friend through Christina.  His eyes lit up and his heart skips a beat as he thought that she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever met.  They went to eat dim sum that very first meeting.  While everyone was eating, he got up, pulled out his camera and asked everyone to look up for a quick photo.  Truthfully, the only center of his attention that moment was Yi, and the group picture was only an excuse to get her on film (figuratively speaking).  He wanted very much to have something to remember her by, and he was afraid of being too forward if he were to just ask her to pose for a snap shot all by herself.  After that day, they both returned to their normal lives.  It wasn't until two years later that their lives intertwined again.  Their friends Johnson and Christina were getting married.  Troy was a groomsmen and Yi was a bridesmaid (pic).  They started talking, and before long, they started seeing each other.  At first he came down every other weekend, when she wasn't working.  Then, he started to show up every weekend.  Before long, he moved down to be closer to her.  Long distance dating was proving to be difficult, but their love for one another persevered.
